Inspire Me
Inspire me and I will write you story of where I was born and how I was raised,
Inspire me and I will open up my heart to pour away feelings that got trapped
Inspire me and I will tell you what I think about men, I love them but…
Inspire me and I will stop kissing your ass and tell it as how I see it through your eyes,
Inspire me, damn it! Inspire me.
I open my mouth and I hear claps in the air,
Clap, they clap for me, ironic, they used to use force and command me to shut up,
“Speak when you are told” a phrase directed to me,
With tons of crap around me, having my confession frozen in time,
kept “the family” stuck together.
Inspire me and I will cry for my past but never expect me to regret it,
Inspire me and I will confess to reveal my shame and weep for who keep suffering,
Inspire me and I will tell you about a 40-year-old man, who could not zip his pants
Inspire me and I will tell you what I feel about a dead mother, whose kiss was full of life,
Inspire me and I will preach why I left my so called “family” and trying to live my mother’s dream life while been cautious of not finding my footprint on top of hers.
