Mom’s New Home
I missed my mother,
My mother, mine,
It has been so long since she moved to her new home,
She has become very lazy to come to visit,
She missed when I stopped being a brat and becoming a pain,
She missed my graduation,
She missed all the times that I was there laughing,
She missed my first day in first grade, I was short and chubby looking,
She missed when I graduated grade seven and passed to go to High School,
She missed my first trip to America where it end up becoming my home,
She missed to see me in my first dress going to a school dance,
She missed, she missed, she missed, and Mom missed everything,
And yet she is missing, and yet she can’t come, and yet I think she would if she could,
And yet I can’t let it go, the feeling of absence in me,
I am suppose to grow apart from her, since the day when she moved to her new home,
But no, no, Mom absence keeps coming back,
Missing something that I don’t have,
With your body in the dirt,
With your soul up where they call heaven,
With your love growing in me,
Knowing each day is one more less to final move to Mom’s new home.
